History of the Society

Over the years, NCCS has performed a wide range of musical works, from Rachmaninov to rock, medieval to modern, and Gershwin and Broadway show tunes to African spirituals. We perform both secular and sacred classics and sing in many languages, including Latin, Spanish, Hebrew, Russian, and African dialects. We present two major concerts a year, and in between appear at community gatherings, such as the Medieval Fair, City Arts Week, Mayfair, the Veterans Home, retirement centers — wherever we can find a stage and people who want to listen.
